Richie Pennington has been a dear friend to Abiotic for many years, now, since the early days of our inception. From feeding us and giving us a place to sleep on the road, to supporting by buying merch and coming out to every show we've played in his area (and opening a few with his own bands!), along with tons laughs and stories galore, Richie and his family quickly became just that to us, family. On December 4th, Richie and his 9 year old boy's life were turned upside when they suddenly lost his wife Meagan, in what was a devastating blow to anyone who knew her. We collaborated closely with him on the lyrics for our new single "Emerald", which touches on her final day and what that means to those who loved her most. To attempt to give back the love we all received from the Penningtons, we will be donating 25% of the proceeds from this merch design, along with proceeds from the new single, to the James Pennington Education Fund, for our dear friend's son who lost his mother. Thank you for supporting us and in turn, helping someone a part of the Abiotic family to heal from a tragedy.
